A Practice for Introspection and Discovery

After discovering the transformative power of Light Language Channeling, I delved into the mysteries of our souls and higher wisdom. This journey led me to Janet Conner’s pivotal guide, Writing Down Your Soul, which became an invaluable resource in my exploration.
Why write? While there are many avenues to access internal wisdom—such as prayer, meditation, seeing a shaman, or visiting a hypnotherapist—writing stands out for its simplicity and effectiveness. I started using it as soon as I began reading Janet’s book. I grabbed a journal, sat by the sliding door in my bedroom, meditated to connect with my heart, and wrote to my soul every day. The words flowed out effortlessly, making it feel like magic. I discovered that my soul could provide me with exceptional, unique guidance. Over time, I learned from many spiritual teachers that connecting with your higher self (soul) is crucial before deepening into channeling other energies as it strengthens your discernment. This foundation builds the confidence needed to explore the vast spiritual realms safely.
Starting Your Soul Writing Journey
To begin soul writing, you only need a quiet, private space, a journal, and a pen. You can choose a time and place that works for you and start connecting with your inner voice. Unlike conventional journaling, which often involves self-expression or recording daily events, soul writing is a sacred journey that takes you deep into your thoughts for an introspective dialogue with the core of your being, unlocking the wisdom within.
Clarity Amid Chaos
Our minds are often cluttered with a constant flow of thoughts that can be overwhelming. This can make finding moments of peace and clarity difficult, leaving us feeling lost. A decade ago, I would have thought the idea of finding solace in meditation and writing ridiculous, but now, I depend on both practices for their combined benefits. They help us connect with our deeper selves and provide something to revisit and reflect on.
The Soul Speaks
Soul writing beckons me to delve into the essence of my being. By posing the simple yet profound question, “What do you want me to know in this NOW moment?” I open the floodgates to automatic writing. This process allows for an unimpeded flow of inner wisdom onto the page, creating a conduit for thoughts that bypass the conscious mind. Accessible to all, this practice is a journey of self-discovery and soulful communion that anyone can undertake.
Dear Soul, my first question is….
Janet Conner’s book, Writing Down Your Soul, is an excellent resource for those interested in exploring this transformative practice. I am immensely grateful for her insights and practical advice. Conner teaches that the names we give to our inner dialogue partners, such as “Dear God,” “Dear Universe,” or “Dear Soul,” are simply vessels for the Divine Source energy they represent. This emphasizes this journey’s universal and personalized nature, allowing you to choose a name that resonates with you.
In my search for the perfect name, I asked, “What shall I call you?” The answer that came back was “HARA.” Intrigued, I researched the name and discovered that ‘Ha’ means breath and ‘Ra’ is the light of the sun. Thus, HARA, or the breath of the sun, became a significant presence in my writings, contributing over 80,000 words of wisdom and supportive messages.
One of my favorite answers was when I asked, Who Am I?
“You are dynamic love in motion, spiraling through the cosmos.”
Transformation Through Words
Writing transcends its primary communicative function, becoming a gateway to creativity, innovation, and self-discovery. My conversations with HARA have been incredibly helpful in navigating life’s complexities. This exchange has unearthed invaluable insights and foresight, illuminating my path with wisdom.
When you start journaling to your soul, notice how the language is always supportive, uplifting, and loving—because source energy is LOVE. It will not convey negativity or urge you to take harmful actions. The language used will be gentle and comforting. Pay attention to how you feel; a positive response is a good indicator that your soul is communicating.
Navigating the Challenges
Some of my clients have mentioned that they initially struggled to flow when writing to their souls. I even have days when writing doesn’t come so easily. However, like anything worth learning, it takes practice. We must learn to trust our intuition and remove judgment from the equation. (We also desire to edit what we write – don’t!) I also noticed difficulty asking questions, which is a common hurdle. This is where Janet Conner’s book proves invaluable—her plethora of questions can guide you through these moments of uncertainty. When we shift from our minds to our hearts, we open ourselves to the divine wisdom that awaits.
Our Spiritual Odyssey
Our journey on Earth, with all its inherent dualities and challenges, is fundamentally a quest for spiritual evolution. As embodied souls, we yearn for growth, understanding, and expansion. Soul writing empowers us to align with our soul’s vibrational essence, shed limiting beliefs, and embrace the guidance of our intuition. This practice reminds us of the magic intrinsic to our being, often obscured by constant distractions.
Reflections on a Soulful Path
Soul writing has become a powerful tool for reflection and introspection. It stitches together the narrative of my journey, providing a tangible representation of my inner growth. Once a chore tied to academia, writing has blossomed into a source of strength and self-awareness, fostering a strong connection with the metaphysical dimensions that shape our existence.
In Conclusion
Soul writing is more than a quest for answers; it is an odyssey toward uncovering the questions that guide us to a more profound understanding of our essence and the universe. This practice reaffirms our connection to all existence and the boundless potential within. I hope you feel inspired to explore your spiritual path and inner world through soul writing. It’s more than a practice; it’s a pathway to deeper understanding and connection with your divine essence. Begin your journey of soul writing today and unlock the limitless potential that lies within.

During a recent Soul Light Portrait Experience, a client asked about my passion for everything SOUL. I took time to reflect, and this is what my soul and I have to share:
We are spirits, yet we only express a small portion of our consciousness in this life in the human body. The greater part of us remains in the land of souls in the spirit world. We came to planet Earth deliberately, forgetting who we are so that we can have fresh new experiences. This is very different from being in the realm of souls, where there are no limits. We came here to connect, create, experience, and evolve. Living on a planet of duality, where growth is limited and slow, we face obstacles. We are not in a timeless state where every thought manifests instantly; we live in polarity and are here to explore the frequencies of our reality. Souls want to grow, expand consciousness, and seek new realities, dimensions, planets, and star systems. During this time of ascension, when humanity is waking up to its true identity, which is being part of ALL THAT IS, we need to remember who we are so that our souls can evolve in the most magnificent and highest way possible. The soul craves evolution, and spiritual growth is why we are here. We must align our vibration to our soul energy and light. We must identify and let go of limiting beliefs that block us from evolving, follow our intuition, go inward, and learn more about our true selves. We need to listen to the voice of our soul. There are unlimited possibilities when you believe in your soul and trust the universe.
We are magic; we have just forgotten that we are magic.
