A Journey Beyond What You Do

There is no shortage of conversations, books, and marketing materials about “life purpose.” It’s often presented as a cornerstone for success and fulfillment in both the spiritual and professional worlds. “What is your purpose?” people ask, tying it to why you’re here and what you should accomplish. While these reflections can be valuable, they often miss the more profound, evolving truth of purpose.
Purpose as a Guiding Force
Yes, soul-searching, reflecting on your journey, and crafting a life purpose statement can be enlightening. Such exercises can serve as a guiding light in your personal, spiritual, and professional life. However, I’ve come to understand purpose as something far more fluid and personal. At its essence, purpose is about maximizing joy through love and creativity. It’s about living fully as your most authentic self, both human and soul, in this fleeting yet miraculous experience called life.
The Evolution of Purpose
Purpose is not static; it evolves as we grow and our consciousness expands. When I was younger, my idea of purpose was tied to discovering passions and experimenting with different paths. I now view purpose through the lens of service and illumination. My mission is to inspire and empower others to live with intention, embrace their divine potential, and embody their most authentic selves. This perspective allows me to guide others to align with their purpose by recognizing what brings them joy and love—their soul energy.
Purpose doesn’t have to be grand or tied to work. It could be as simple as caring for animals, nurturing a garden, or embodying kindness or peace. Purpose can also involve learning life lessons like trust, patience, or healthy relationships, which are integral to soul growth. These lessons, chosen by the soul before arriving in this dimension, shape the journey of purpose. As we navigate challenges and embrace inner transformations, our evolving purpose reflects these profound experiences and guides us toward greater alignment with our true essence.
“Light is information, and love is creation. You need to become informed before you create.” /Barbara Marcinak/
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” /Howard Thurman/
“Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it.” /Buddha/
I resonate with these quotes because purpose begins with YOU and your self-awareness. We must uncover what brings us happiness and resonates with our souls before creating a life aligned with that energy.
Following Your Inner Compass
As a child, I was fortunate to explore freely, trying different activities—arts, crafts, sports, dance, and studies. My mother encouraged this exploration, allowing me to find what resonated with me. This openness helped me embrace a life of trial and error, treating it like a “box of chocolates,” savoring different experiences to discover my truest joys.
This playful exploration eventually led me to my current path. My life’s purpose is to align with my soul’s calling and provide others with transformative experiences of art, energy, and soul. I hope to empower individuals to live boldly and manifest extraordinary dreams by embracing their light and creativity.
Living a Spiritual Life
A spiritual life—one connected to the energy of your soul—is a conscious and awakened way of being. It involves deep self-awareness, reflecting on what brings joy and love, and choosing how to channel your energy and creativity. Eventually, you may desire to share your light with others, which can be as simple or profound as self-expression.
Reframing Purpose
We often place unnecessary pressure on ourselves to define purpose as a grand achievement. But purpose isn’t about status or occupation. It’s about authenticity, exploration, and radiating your unique light. Whether working at a gas station or leading a global movement, your purpose lies in being true to yourself and living with intention.
One of the tools I use with clients is the Gene Keys® system by Richard Rudd, which offers a profound perspective on purpose. According to this system, purpose is less about what you do and more about who you are at your core – your essence and state of being. It resides deep within you, often subconsciously, reflecting why your soul came to earth. Purpose evolves as we grow, unfolding through life’s challenges and breakthroughs. By aligning with this inner essence and embodying its frequency, we unlock our potential and transform our Shadows into Gifts. Gifts that allow us to live with authenticity, compassion, and service.
