Trust – The Gateway to Flow and Expansion

Trust: The Most Potent Force in Life

Trust is one of the most profound forces we can cultivate. It’s not passive or weak. It’s powerful, dynamic, and alive. Trust is the key to being in flow with life, the universe, and, most importantly, ourselves.

But what do we do instead of trusting?
We doubt.
We hesitate.
We question the timing of things.
We block the natural flow of energy, which is constantly trying to move us forward.

This blocking comes from fear, perfectionism, and the illusion of control. But here’s the thing: The energy of life is always moving. It doesn’t stop. When we resist it, we feel stuck. When we release the resistance and trust the process, the flow becomes unstoppable — like a waterfall of light pouring down on every area of our lives.

Why Trusting Is So Hard

Trusting life, the universe, and ourselves is not something most of us were taught to do. Instead, we were taught to control, plan, predict, and prepare for the worst. This approach may keep us safe, but it also keeps us small. It prevents us from tapping into the expansive energy ready to guide us toward our highest potential.

Doubt and fear are natural responses to the unknown. They’re survival mechanisms. But in today’s world, survival isn’t the only goal. We’re here to thrive. We need to learn to discern between genuine danger and mere discomfort to do that. Discomfort is often a sign that we’re stretching, growing, and expanding into a new version of ourselves.

One night recently, I woke up, and I was uncomfortable. Instead of lying there, I began to do an honest self-inventory of what was bothering me. I kept chipping away at my thoughts to reveal my true feelings. At some point, I got crystal clear about trusting myself. I grabbed my phone and voice-recorded most of what you will read here. I realized that my fears of the unknown were making me feel uncomfortable, but I did not let them stop me; I accepted them and contemplated them without judgment so that I could move forward.

This process is precisely what trust looks like in real-time. It isn’t about waiting for clarity to appear out of nowhere. It’s about allowing yourself to explore the discomfort instead of avoiding it. Through that exploration, you get to the root of your fears and discover that they are often less powerful than they seem. This is the heart of discernment — the ability to tell the difference between real and fear-based illusion. From there, you can move forward, not because you’re “fearless,” but because you’re willing to trust that you’ll figure it out.

The Shift from Doubt to Discernment to Decision

The process of trusting isn’t about blindly following every impulse. It’s about cultivating discernment — recognizing what is aligned for you and what is not.

  1. Doubt: Doubt whispers in your ear, “Are you sure?” It stops you from taking action.
  2. Discernment: Discernment pauses, observes, and asks, “Is this aligned with my higher self?”
  3. Decision: Decision is action. It’s moving forward with faith, even when clarity isn’t 100% present.

When doubt becomes discernment, and discernment becomes decisive action, trust is born. And that’s when the magic happens. That’s when people seem to “take off” in their lives — suddenly achieving, expanding, and evolving at a rapid pace. It wasn’t luck. It wasn’t a stroke of fate. It was trust — trust in themselves, the path, and the divine timing of life itself.

Signs You Are Blocking the Flow of Trust

If you’re wondering if you’re blocking your flow, ask yourself:

  • Am I waiting for perfect conditions before I take action?
  • Do I allow fear of failure to paralyze me?
  • Am I comparing myself to others, thinking I should be further along?
  • Do I feel “stuck” or “frozen,” not knowing what step to take next?

These are signs that doubt has overtaken discernment. Perfectionism is often the biggest culprit. We delay action, believing we must “get it right” or “do it perfectly” the first time. But trust doesn’t work like that. Trust requires movement, even when it’s messy.

To shift out of this blocked state, ask yourself:

  • What small action can I take right now to move this energy forward?
  • Where have I been inflow in the past, and how can I return to that state?
  • What would I do if I fully trusted the path ahead?

The Power of Trust in Divine Timing

Divine timing is one of the most misunderstood aspects of trust. We think it means waiting. But waiting isn’t the same as being stuck.

Being stuck is passive, stagnant, and filled with doubt.
Waiting with trust is active, present, and aligned.

When you trust divine timing, you aren’t sitting idly by. You’re engaged in the process of becoming. You’re taking inspired action. You’re making yourself ready to receive. You’re holding space for the unfolding of your desires, not forcing them into being.

Many people experience breakthroughs after they finally surrender. They stop trying to control every detail and trust that the path will unfold as it should. In this space, rapid expansion occurs. People rise quickly when they surrender because they aren’t carrying the weight of doubt, perfectionism, or control.

How to Cultivate Trust in Your Life

  1. Practice Stillness. Slowing down allows you to hear your inner guidance more clearly and creates space for discernment.
  2. Listen to Your Passions: Where are you naturally drawn? What do you love doing? Your passions aren’t random. They are clues from your soul about your purpose.
  3. Reflect on Your Journey: Look back at where you’ve been. Were there moments where everything fell into place, even if you didn’t plan it perfectly? That was trust at work.
  4. Embrace Courageous Action: It takes courage to trust yourself, your path, and the universe. Move forward even when you can’t see the whole picture.
  5. Surrender Control: Instead of figuring out every step, focus on the next step. You don’t need to know every turn on the road to your destination.

Trust and the Waterfall of Light

When we let go of resistance, we open ourselves to a vast, divine energy that wants to flow through us. This energy is pure potential. It creates synchronicities, coincidences, and “lucky breaks.” When you trust, you aren’t just hoping for something to happen—you are opening yourself up to the entire universe’s creative force.

This is what it feels like when people “suddenly take off” in life.
One moment, they’re stuck. The next, they’re in rapid expansion.
What happened? They got out of their own way.

When you surrender control, fear, and doubt, energy flows. Trust allows for rapid acceleration, but only once you clear the blocks holding you back.

Your Next Step: Reflection

If you want to know where you’re blocking trust in your life, ask yourself:

  • Where have I been forcing things to happen instead of allowing them to unfold?
  • Where have I been stuck in doubt or perfectionism?
  • Where have I ignored my inner guidance out of fear of being wrong?

This reflection isn’t about blame or judgment. It’s about awareness.
With awareness comes choice.
With choice comes change.
With change comes freedom.

Trust as a Path to Abundance and Freedom

Trust is not about waiting. It’s not about perfection. It’s not about control.
Trust is the act of letting life flow through you.
It’s the willingness to step into the unknown with an open heart and mind.
It’s the courage to allow the waterfall of light to pour into every area of your life.

If you’re feeling stuck, remember this:
The only thing you’re stuck in is a pattern of resistance.
The flow is already available to you.
You have to trust it.

Trust isn’t passive. It’s a decision.
It’s an act of courage.
It’s an unshakable knowing that you are exactly where you need to be, and every step forward is divinely guided.

When you cultivate this level of trust, life doesn’t just flow. It accelerates.

So, what would happen if you trusted — fully, completely, with all of your heart?
What dreams would finally be realized?
What parts of you would finally be seen, heard, and expressed?

Your soul already knows.
It’s waiting for you to listen.
All it asks is that you trust.
