The Law of Attraction and the Law of Vibration

This week, I wanted to explore the concepts of frequency and vibrations. Recently, I was asked about the true essence of high-frequency living and the meaning behind raising one’s vibration. Contemplating these questions, this discussion could shed some light on the intricate dynamics of frequency and vibration, especially as these concepts often get tangled in semantics. My musings extend the conversation about energy, our multidimensional selves, and our perceived reality.

Exploring the intersection where science meets spirituality fascinates me. In my worldview, they are the same: we are all unified in consciousness. However, humans and scientists tend to classify and categorize in our polarized reality.
Frequency and vibration, though interpreted differently in metaphysical and spiritual contexts compared to science, fundamentally depict how we interact with, influence, and perceive energy in our daily lives. We live on a planet with access to a broad spectrum of emotions; we, as emotional beings, have the gift and the power to explore various frequencies and impact our reality through emotional resonance.
While science and spirituality may appear to be divergent paths to unraveling reality’s mysteries, they converge at a fascinating juncture: the concept of vibration and its profound influence on our existence.
This idea, deeply rooted in the principles of the Law of Vibration and the Law of Attraction, not only captivates the spiritual mind but also intrigues the scientific community. (Please note that the Law of Attraction may also be referred to as the Law of Resonance.)
As I’ve previously highlighted, managing one’s vibration is crucial for leading a fulfilling life and attracting what one desires. This echoes the principle that we attract not what we want but who we are.

A Scientific Overture to Vibrations
From a scientific standpoint, the universe is a grand symphony of vibrations. Quantum mechanics, the branch of physics that studies the behavior of particles at minor scales, reveals that at the atomic and subatomic levels, matter does not exist as static entities but as waves of probabilities vibrating at different frequencies. This fundamental principle of vibration in the quantum realm mirrors the spiritual concept that everything in the universe, including thoughts and emotions, is in constant motion, vibrating at various frequencies.
Like human “ batteries,” we emit vibrations through thoughts and emotions, influencing and intermingling within the universe’s vast energetic field. This process, rooted in quantum entanglement, illuminates how like frequencies naturally attract, thus resonating with the law of attraction.
In physics, frequency quantifies the number of cycles per second of a wave or oscillation, measured in hertz (Hz). However, in spiritual or metaphysical discussions, “frequency” and “vibration” denote an individual’s energetic state or level of consciousness. When exploring the idea of “raising our vibration” or “living at a higher frequency” within spiritual or metaphysical contexts, the term “frequency” is used metaphorically rather than strictly scientifically.
To simplify, think of your frequency as your emotional energy wave. Pause, reflect on your feelings, and ask yourself, “Where am I vibrating? “Then decide to shift your emotional state to a higher frequency. For example, when feeling frustrated, can you shift into acceptance or an even higher frequency of peace?
As we deepen our self-awareness, we aim to transition from reaction to response. Slowing down and pausing is vital in learning to respond rather than react. We strive to heighten our awareness of our emotions and reactions, endeavoring to engage from our heart center—a source of creative, peaceful, and compassionate energy—rather than succumbing to the survival-driven impulses of the ego-mind rooted in fear and control. You do not just feel your vibration; it travels out into the universe; it is informational energy that other energy beings can receive. Essentially, our goal is to elevate our frequency, centering ourselves in the heart and fostering a more fulfilling life for ourselves and those around us.
Psychoneuroimmunology is a field of science that investigates the interaction between psychological processes and the nervous and immune systems. Research in this area provides evidence of how mental states can influence physiological functions. Positive emotions and thoughts have been shown to bolster immune function and improve health outcomes, suggesting a tangible effect of what might be described spiritually as maintaining a “high vibration.” This correlation between emotional resonance, our bodies, and health underscores the significance of maintaining a “high vibration.”
The Spiritual Understanding of Vibration
Spiritually, the Law of Vibration forms the belief that everything in the universe is in constant motion, from the smallest particle to the vastest galaxy. This law is the foundation for the Law of Attraction, suggesting that aligning our vibrational frequency with our desires enables us to attract corresponding experiences into our lives.
According to this perspective, managing our vibration through cultivating positive thoughts, feelings of gratitude, love, and joy elevates our frequency. This, in turn, draws experiences, people, and outcomes that resonate with these higher vibrational states.
Here’s a breakdown of how frequency is conceptualized in these contexts:
Energetic State or Emotional Vibration
- High Frequency: Associated with feelings of love, peace, gratitude, and joy. Living at a higher frequency is often described as embodying these positive emotions and states of being more consistently.
- Low Frequency: Associated with feelings of fear, anger, sadness, and negativity. A lower frequency is often linked to more negative emotional states and behaviors.
Level of Consciousness
The concept also ties into the idea that consciousness exists on a spectrum, with higher levels of consciousness corresponding to higher frequencies. This encompasses awareness, intuition, empathy, compassion, and unity with others and the universe. COMPASSION is the motherload of human frequency! It is a great gift that we possess and can share as human beings.

Manifestation and Attraction
The law of Attraction is another concept often associated with frequency, suggesting that like frequencies attract. Therefore, by raising our vibration, we attract more positive experiences and opportunities.
We attract what we are vibrationally.
Practically, raising one’s frequency can involve meditation, mindfulness, acts of kindness, gratitude, and engaging in activities that bring joy. The Law of Vibration and the Law of Attraction encourage us to be mindful of our internal states to shape our experiences and realities positively. Living at a “higher frequency” encompasses personal growth, positivity, and a deeper connection with oneself and the world.
In essence, the Law of Vibration is about understanding the universal nature of energy and vibration, while the Law of Attraction is about applying this understanding to attract what one desires. Both concepts encourage us to be conscious of our internal states and to use this awareness to shape our experiences and realities. We are reminded of our inherent power to shape our reality. By understanding the vibrational essence of existence, we can consciously create a life in harmony with our highest aspirations.
